About WRELtd

In January 2003 the EU published the waste electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE) directive.

The aim of the new legislation is to reduce the amount of electrical waste going to landfill. In December 2006 UK WEEE legislation was approved by parliament and came into full force in July 2007.

‘Are you affected by the WEEE regulations?’

The new WEEE regulations makes business users, manufactures and retailers of electrical and electronic equipment responsible for making sure their goods do not end up in landfill where their internal constituents may cause environmental and health problems.

WEEE Recycle Electronics Ltd is a new business based in Bedlington Northumberland. We are a fully licensed facility (AATF) that can accept, treat and recycle electronic equipment and batteries to ensure our customers are complying with EU regulations and the WEEE directive.

Due to our unique outlets we can offer cost effective solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, electrical equipment and batteries. Depending on the customer needs we can offer various types of collection methods ensuring that security is maintained at all times.

WREL Ltd operates under JBT's licenses, these include a waste management permit, waste carriers license, AATF license as well as being ISO 9001 & 14001 accredited.
